The North Coast is known for it’s cool wet winters and dramatic storms which blow into the coast from the North. What most don’t know is that this can be one of our most beautiful times of the year with mild clear days and sparkling starry nights. It is a great time to explore the valley and coast, take a mushroom foray, enjoy the January Crab festival, the February Alsace Festival, trek the nearby woods or just curl up with a book by a warm fire. This year we are launching our winter Artisan Series Workshops that take place from January through April. It is here that our local experts will share their knowledge of winemaking, the culinary arts, nature foraging, birding and rural practices.
