This year has been incredibly challenging for our team at The Madrones & The Brambles, but out of adversity there are opportunities to pivot and find hope.
Brian and I were approached in late August by two very bright and energetic young women who are attending Ivy Leagues schools and specializing in technology. They wanted to rent out both properties and bring together the best and brightest female students in the country for a summit that would impact their direction and unite them as they move into a very uncertain future. Given our normal business operations this was going to be a huge pivot for us in order to make this happen and to create a safe place during the pandemic. That being said we felt committed, knowing how few women in the tech industry are in positions of leadership.
As their stay comes to a close in the weeks ahead, it’s been an amazing experience. This group of 20 have managed to have some of the most respected women in the tech industry conference in with them including Melinda Gates this past week.
We are wishing them all the best as they forge a path ahead. We know they will do great things!
