Check In/Out
Check-in is between 3:00–6:00pm. Please contact us if you expect to arrive after 6:00pm. We are happy to arrange a late arrival for you. Check-out is 11:00am. At this time, late check outs cannot be accommodated. Any room staying after the 11 AM check out time will be charged $100 per hour
Night Minimums
The Master, The Kitchen and The Garden View may be booked for a one night stay during the week. All other rooms require a two nights stay and all rooms require a two night stay on weekends. Select Holiday Weekends may require a three night stay. All rooms are thoroughly cleaned between stays. See our Health & Safety page for details.
Deposits & Cancellations
A deposit equal to fifty percent of your stay is due and payable when your reservation is made and the balance is charged 14 days prior to arrival. We do require a 21-day notice of cancellation prior to your arrival in order to issue a refund of your deposit, minus a $50 fee. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival will be charged in full. No exceptions or credits will be made on any cancellation. Cancellations are not confirmed without an email or written verification from The Madrones. If you are staying at the Madrones for an outside event or special event weekend like the Pinot Festival, Sierra Nevada Musical Festival or Boonville Beer Festival, the full cost of your room is due when you make your reservation with no option to cancel.
Group Stays and Room Blocks
Any reservation of three or more rooms by the same party is considered a group stay. After booking your rooms, our innkeeper will typically reach out to assist you with planning your stay. For all group stays, the full cost of your room is due upon booking and there is no option to cancel. Group Stays may have an additional charge to their room that can be used as a credit in the restaurant. If you are interested in a Room Block, please email brian@themadrones.com
Accessible Rooms
The Madrones and The Brambles both have ADA compliant rooms and parking for our disabled guests. Guests who are not disabled that reserve an ADA compliant room will be moved to a comparable room if a disabled guest requires that accommodation. ADA compliant rooms include the Living Room and The Front Door. If you are disabled and require use of these rooms, please book online or call us at 707.895.2955 if they are not available.
Pets
We love pets and do have three guest quarters (The Kitchen, The Garden View & The Living Room) which are pet friendly at The Madrones and three at The Brambles (Faller’s Cabin, Logger’s Cabin & The Front Door).
Very well behaved pets that are good with other animals are welcome to stay in these rooms for an additional $25 per night. Pets should be on a leash at all times and never be left in the room alone unless crated. Failure to adhere to these policies will result in ejection from the property with no refund of your additional nights. We provide a doggie towel and blanket for your pet to use if they are going to be sharing the bed or on the furniture. You are responsible for any damage your pet may cause and particularly messy pets may result in an additional $150 cleaning fee. Any pet found to be staying in any accommodations aside from our pet friendly rooms will be charged $50 per night and an additional $150 cleaning fee.
Maximum Number of Guests
Each accommodation has a maximum number of guests allowed. Any room found to be over the maximum number of guests or occupied with undeclared guests will be charged $25 per night per guest plus an additional $150 cleaning fee.
The Garden View & all rooms at The Brambles can accommodate families traveling with a child of any age. We can also accommodate guests of any age if you are reserving both Guest Quarters I & II or both Guest Quarters III & IV. Children 12 years and up in the company of a guardian are welcomed in the Masters Quarters as well as the Spare Rooms. Please recognize that The Madrones is a romantic destination for many couples, some taking their first break from their own children, so we want to ensure that all travelers have the experience that they are anticipating.
Lost Key Charge
Should a guest lose their key during their stay, a $75 charge will be applied to their invoice.
Smoking
The Madrones is smoke free. Smoking is only permitted at designated outside areas and not inside or directly outside buildings.
Off Property Events
In keeping with the serene atmosphere of the property, we’ve found that we just can't accommodate groups coming for an outside wedding, festival or event, unless we have an agreement with the venue of the function. If you have ever found yourself lost amid the hustle and bustle of a family event, you’ll understand why this is not in sync with our other guests who covet The Madrones as a restful destination. More importantly we have a strong commitment to our local business community who rely on travelers that chose Anderson Valley as a destination and are not simply coming for an obligatory event. If you are attending a local wedding, party or reunion, contact your host for a list of accommodations in the area or we are happy to suggest other Inns or Hotels for your stay. Failure to do this will result in a cancellation of your reservation with no refund of your deposit.
